Privacy Policy

Introduction

Mirage ("the Game") is an idle survivor incremental game developed by an independent developer. This privacy policy explains what data the Game collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Data We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we collect:

  • Your Google email address
  • Your Google display name
  • Your platform (Android or Desktop)
  • Your app version

We also store your game save data (inventory, upgrades, progression) when you use the cloud save feature.

How We Use Your Data

  • Authentication: Your Google account info is used solely to identify you and link your cloud save.
  • Cloud Saves: Your game progress is stored on our servers so you can sync across devices.
  • App Integrity: On Android, we may verify app integrity through Google Play Integrity API to detect tampering. This does not collect personal data.

Data Storage and Security

  • Your data is stored on AWS (Amazon Web Services) servers in the United States.
  • Save data is encrypted at rest using server-side encryption.
  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit).
  • Authentication tokens are short-lived (15-minute access tokens) and refresh tokens are stored as hashed values.
  • Save history is retained for 30 days to allow recovery from accidental overwrites.

What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect device hardware identifiers, advertising IDs, or IMEI numbers.
  • We do not use analytics or telemetry SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.).
  • We do not use crash reporting services.
  • We do not display ads or use ad network SDKs.
  • We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

  • Google Sign-In: Used for authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Play Integrity API (Android only): Used to verify app authenticity. No personal data is collected through this service.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): Used to host our backend servers and store cloud save data.

Local Data

The Game stores data locally on your device:

  • Game save file (your progress, inventory, and settings)
  • Authentication credentials for cloud save sync

This data stays on your device and is not transmitted unless you use the cloud save feature.

Children's Privacy

The Game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

  • You can play the Game without signing in, in which case no personal data is collected.
  • You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
  • You can stop using cloud saves at any time; your local save will continue to work independently.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
